About us

We are Sarah Jaidi and Othmane Lamrini, respectively experts in digital transformation and fundraising. We are Moroccans who have spent a significant amount of time abroad, and we have a strong desire for Morocco. With Kiwi Collecte, we wanted to reconnect with our country and contribute to its development by funding impactful projects.

Kiwi Collecte is a crowdfunding platform specialized in raising donations to fund entrepreneurs, unleash creative talents, and facilitate solidarity initiatives in health, education, culture, sports, environment and more.

In 2023, the team expands with the arrival of Yassine Hjiej, our CTO, software engineer, platform builder and spirit convinced by the power of solidarity and the potential of “Tech for good” in Morocco.

Why Kiwi Collecte?

On one hand, Moroccans have historically pooled money among themselves because a collective spirit is ingrained in our culture. On the other hand, Morocco is currently witnessing the emergence of a wonderful generation of project holders, but few of them have access to funding. Our mission is to empower the former to bring to life the projects of the latter.

The idea of Kiwi Collecte was born in 2021, and from the beginning, we chose to share our journey. Many of you have followed us, encouraged us, and shared our frustrations. Because, yes, we must admit that over the past two years, we faced demotivation at times, but we never gave up.

Then came the earthquake... we took the initiative to launch a crowdfunding campaign on a foreign platform the next morning to help the victims. We witnessed an incredible mobilization of Moroccans in Morocco and abroad, as well as valuable support from all over the world. About 10 million dirhams were collected thanks to more than 18,400 donors who trusted us. At that time, more people got to know us and join us in our belief in the power of crowdfunding for our country, in times of crisis as well as prosperity. Tomorrow, nothing will make us happier than successfully concluding reliable and exceptional campaigns on a 100% Moroccan platform.

For over 2 years, we dedicated a significant portion of our time to talk to dozens of project holders, obtain approval from Bank Al-Maghrib, promote crowdfunding wherever we go, and establish key partnerships for its implementation. Today, as Morocco has finally decided to embrace this new alternative financing tool, we are ready.

Crowdfunding has worked wonders worldwide, and Kiwi Collecte wants to work wonders in Morocco. Will it succeed? We don't have the answer, so we thought we would give it a try. Join the movement!

And never forget: المهم هو المشاركة
