We are Matrix, the first FRC team launched in Morocco and the second on the African continent, made up of 31 young Moroccans aged 14 to 18, united by the same passion: robotics, science, technology, and innovation. Based in Casablanca, the LOOP for Science & Technology association gave us the opportunity to participate in 2026 in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) regional tournament in Turkey (Ankara), under the guidance of many mentors from different fields (engineers, PhDs, and specialists in technological education). This is a major milestone that marks a historic first for Morocco in this world-renowned competition.

The FIRST Robotics Competition is an international robotics competition that is part of the FIRST program. It allows young people to develop advanced technical skills, as well as teamwork, leadership, creativity, and complex problem-solving abilities. For Morocco, Matrix’s participation represents a unique opportunity to highlight the potential of its youth and to position the country as an emerging player in the field of technology and innovation on the international stage.
All members of Matrix have already taken part in many robotics competitions, notably in FLL and FTC, within teams such as 3andiblasti, Nova, Omar Robotics, Next Level, Avatard, Casabots, and Novatard. Over several seasons, these teams have won numerous victories and awards at both national and international levels, demonstrating the experience and capabilities of Matrix.

Our dream? To write Morocco into the history of FRC.
Our goal? To proudly represent our country and carry the Moroccan flag on the regional and international stage.

Taking part in the FRC regional tournament in Turkey requires a significant budget to cover all expenses (robotics equipment, technical components, logistics, and other essential needs for the competition).

Nous sommes Matrix, la première équipe FRC lancée au Maroc et la deuxième sur le continent africain, composée de 31 jeunes Marocains âgés de 14 à 18 ans, unis par une même passion : la robotique, la science, la technologie et l’innovation. Située à Casablanca, l'association LOOP for Science & Technology nous a donné l’opportunité de participer en 2026 au tournoi régional FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) en Turquie (Ankara) encadrée par de nombreux mentors qui couvrent différents domaines (ingénieurs, docteurs, spécialistes de l’éducation technologique). Une étape majeure qui marque une première historique pour le Maroc dans cette compétition de renommée mondiale.

La FIRST Robotics Competition est une compétition internationale de robotique qui fait partie du programme FIRST. Elle permet aux jeunes de développer des compétences techniques avancées, mais aussi l’esprit d’équipe, le leadership, la créativité et la résolution de problèmes complexes. Pour le Maroc, la participation de Matrix représente une opportunité unique de mettre en lumière le potentiel de sa jeunesse et de positionner le pays comme un acteur émergent dans le domaine des technologies et de l’innovation à l’échelle internationale.

Tous les membres de Matrix ont déjà participé à de nombreuses compétitions de robotique, notamment en FLL et en FTC, au sein des équipes 3andiblasti, Nova, Omar Robotics, Next Level, Avatard, Casabots et Novatard. Ces équipes ont remporté, au fil de plusieurs saisons, de nombreuses victoires et distinctions aux niveaux national et international, témoignant de l’expérience et des capacités de Matrix.

Notre rêve ? Faire entrer le Maroc dans l’histoire de la FRC.
Notre objectif ? Représenter fièrement notre pays et porter le drapeau marocain sur la scène régionale et internationale.

Mais pour transformer ce rêve en réalité, nous avons besoin de vous.

La participation au tournoi régional FRC en Turquie nécessite un grand budget pour couvrir toutes les dépenses (le matériel robotique, les composants techniques, la logistique et les autres besoins essentiels à la compétition). 

Chaque contribution, quelle que soit sa valeur, est un pas de plus vers la réalisation de ce projet ambitieux. 🙏
